STAR will prepare you to teach in a high need elementary, middle, or high school with a need for STEM Teachers. This program is ideal for recent college graduates and mid-career professionals or paraprofessionals with a background in math and science. In less than 18 months you will earn a single or multiple-subject teaching credential and a Master’s degree! In addition, you will participate in a semester-long internship to gain applied knowledge. Best of all, you qualify for a $30,000 stipend to offset the cost of living while completing the residency and training! The STEM Teachers in Advanced Residency (STAR) program is a blended teaching credential and master’s program that strengthens teacher preparation by delivering the rigor and theory of a master’s degree with the practice and pragmatism of the teaching credential, combined with a year-long residency in a partner school and valuable clinical experience with CSI³’s innovative STEM Lab School. The STAR program aims to recruit, prepare, place and retain highly qualified elementary and secondary teachers for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)....
